Returning Thinking to Balance
What Is the Rest Point?
The Rest Point is the still center of Mind.
It is not an altered state, trance, or withdrawal from life. It is the interchanging point of “I AM” —Rest in Knowing and Balanced Thinking—the Reality of Mind known purely as the ecstasy of balanced giving and regiving. Rest Point Recovery (RPR) is the voluntary return of attention to this point.
RPR restores identity not only to the Knower, but to the Thinker of Idea—returning attention to the balanced rhythmic ecstasy by which Mind images what it knows. It is the practical application of Spiritualized Reality Therapy: the conscious return to Rest as Balanced Thinking.
The Beauty of Mind at Rest—known qualitatively as Balance, Love, Truth, and the Law—is lawfully projected through balanced projective–reflective action–reaction cycles, while identity remains anchored in Knowing.
All imbalance arises from mis-reference: identity attempts to find rest in the rhythmic reflection of Idea in seeming motion (the body and its sensations) rather than in the Knower and Balanced Thinker. Recovery is the re-centering of thinking. Motion is no longer subconsciously reacted to, but consciously balanced.
This distinction was articulated with precision by Eugene Fersen, who wrote:
“In this present stage of Evolution it becomes vitally important for Humanity to have a thorough knowledge of the Mind, and the laws that govern it.”
Within SRT–RPR and the cosmogeny of Walter Russell, this statement is ontological rather than moral. Mind is Knower and Thinker—timeless, changeless Knowing and Balanced Thinking. Nothing in Mind departs from balance. What appears as error arises only when thinking is referenced from reflection rather than from its source. Humanity’s difficulty is the misplacement of identity.
The laws that govern Mind are not ideals or values, but the functional conditions under which Idea is lawfully imaged into motion. These laws are the Realities of Mind—Balance, Love, Truth, and the Law—which govern the rhythmic interchange of balanced thinking. Giving is the projective phase of thinking; regiving is the reflective phase. When these phases remain balanced, the wave completes itself and returns to Rest without residue. What has historically been called “evil” is not a force or condition, but misunderstanding of these laws and misuse of the thinking function.
RPR & Resurrection
Resurrection is not recovery from disorder, suffering, or death, but the renewal of desire to think Idea into seeming motion from Rest, in Balance and without distortion. Nothing is changed or repaired—thinking simply realigns with the Knower of the Laws of the Absolute.
